Confluence Early Childhood Service District Board Service Opportunity
In November, voters will be asked to approve the Confluence Early Childhood Service District AND to elect a Board of Directors to run the new District. The five-member elected Board will be akin to an elected School Board and / or Board of County Commissioners, with governance responsibility for all aspects of the District. If you or someone you know is interested in standing for election, now is the time to act.
What to know:
There will be five Director Districts – a person is eligible to run for and serve as a director of a district if they are a registered voter and reside in the district
District 1: Western Garfield County, including Parachute and Rifle
District 2: Central Garfield County, including Silt, New Castle and part of Glenwood Springs
District 3: Central / Southern Garfield County, including most of Glenwood Springs
District 4: Southern Garfield County, Northwestern Eagle Couty and Northern Pitkin County, including most of Carbondale, El Jebel and Basalt
District 5: Most of Pitkin County, including Aspen

Board of Directors shall serve 4 years terms with Districts 2 & 4 only serving two year terms for this first election.
Directors’ compensation is limited by state statute and is currently set at no more than $2,400 annually, not to exceed $100 per meeting attended.
The deadline to nominate yourself is August 22, 2025.

All nomination and acceptance forms must be received by August 22, 2025. Any forms received after that date, even if postmarked by August 22, 2025, will be rejected.
